Just some food for thought. I know competitive guys get upset when calls go against them. That's within the nature of being competitive. Especially in the heat of a game. Teams should pick and choose when they get upset at a call. And it should be the coach doing the complaining, not players. No one likes to be shown up doing their job and refs have egos just like everyone else. Complaining about every call won't get us any calls late, I can pretty much guarantee that. I thnk we've been better as of late, but always good to keep in mind. Be competitive, but expect some bad calls every game. Put them aside and keep attacking. espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/46631/officials-chief-john-adams-explains-memo

Last night a Canisius player took 3 steps on a lay up, blatantly obvious, and no call was made. Unless these refs want to be stuck officiating MAAC games the rest of their lives they need to work on tightening up the fundamentals.

Some calls are gonna be missed every game, got to expect that - they are human. Got to forget it and move on. Now one thing should be watched. One ref has worked three of our four losses since Puerto Rico. I remember in the first half v. Hofstra we had an unusual number of offensive fouls. In the first half v. Manhattan we were building a lead, but I think four guys had two fouls. Josh Gomez was playing in the first half. He played pretty well. Other guys had to sit and got out of their rhythm. The loss at Siena had a phantom second foul call on Scott and an absurd technical that kept him on the bench for a good part of the second half. I don't know if anything is going on, but it should be watched and if anyone needs to take action if there is a problem its Eugene Marshall I would think. Anyone know who's working tomorrow night?

Anyone know who's working tomorrow night? Hopefully not John Hughes.

With all the Saturday games, tonight's game has Hughes, DeMayo or Adams written all over it. Is there any way Ed Corbett wants to stay home in Yonkers and not travel on Super Bowl weekend?

Didn't agree with a lot of the calls, but they were okay. From Reffing 101, in an emotion packed game, call it close in the first half, and normal in the second. For a Saturday game, not bad.

Thought the T on Taaj was appropriate. Taaj appears to be a fiery guy and I like that, but in a game like this with that atmosphere the refs have to take control early regarding any woofing.
Don't know why Mike gave that kid a bit of a shove, perhaps he deserved it, but it isn't smart. We can't afford to lose Mike and we don't need to give a ref a reason to toss him.
Got to channel and use our emotions guys, effectively.

Manhattan brought their chairs and team out for the TO very quickly and OP seemed to get caught in the middle.

Overall, the refs did a good job.
I thought the technical on Taj was BS. They should have just told him to chill.
The 2 worst were:
MoMo getting called for an offensive foul in the second half when he was speeding into the forecourt with two Jaaspers on him; and
The no-call on Mike's dunk when he got a shot to the face and had to sit.
EPatrick, you looked good on TV.
Go Gaels!!!

My reaction caused my son and his buddy to come running over to the computer to see what was going on.

Why does ESPN's website have the Nevada game listed as an ESPN3 game. Thought it was supposed to be on ESPN2?? That's wrong, its on ESPN or ESPN2(TBD)
