In case any are interested they have home games v. Rhode Island, UMass, and Vermont at their dandy little sports complex. Got the season ticket brochure this weekend.

I would love for John Lahey to become the next President of Iona. I know the Brothers would not want to lose control but he has done a fantastic job growing Quinnipiac. He would work miracles at Iona. His fund raising, vision and leadership are outstanding. He has turned it from a decent school with a few good programs to one of the "Hot" schools.

Agree, Lahey has transformed the school, but not overnight. He's been at it a while, at least 20 years and probably more. Don't recall when he started. As I recall they are in the process of developing a Med School in the New Haven area.

That's life in the MAAC. Those NEC teams are seen as less of a threat easier to schedule teams like Umass and Rhody.
