Rich is leaving Iona on 7/30, after 26 years, to become the VP for Development at White Plains Hospital Center. Good luck to a good guy--who rose from basketball team manager to VP--with a short hiatus at Florida State with Pat Kennedy. Probably had to do with the upcoming presidential transition. (Maybe his son's Georgetown tuition bill go to him!)

I believe Rich Biondi, an Iona guy, formerly had this job. Rich Biondi died a few years back at a fairly early age. Richie Pet will be missed at Iona, where, IMO, he did a great job.

While I am very happy for Rich (and his family), it will be a big loss for Iona. Other than the Brothers who give their lives to their vocation and JB who was like a father to us all, I don't know of anyone, of my generation, who has committed more of themselves to the Mission of Iona College. Look around the Iona campus today (it has never looked bigger or better) and you have to see Rich's hard work and labors in that. Thank you, Pet.
