I stopped looking at this poll a couple of years ago when I realized it was worthless. Obviously the coaches who vote can care less, they don't even spend the time to check scores. If they had they couldn't possibly vote fgcu over Iona.

If you look at others receiving votes we got 51, were the 3rd one there

If it makes anyone feel better, Ken Pom has us ranked 68th in the nation, with about 10 true (not Gonzaga or VCU type) mid majors ahead of us.

George Mason playing Drexel tomorrow night which should also help us RPIwise. I think that Drexel just lost one of their guns with a torn ACL. Hopefully Mason will take hem out. I think the game is in Philly.

Saw Drexel play tough against Arizona in the Garden last week. Not a bad team. I see Mason having trouble with them.

Sorry that's Cleveland State playing Drexel tomorrow nite, not George Mason. Drexel looks tough. Hope Cleveland State is competitive.

At this point who cares. In the words of Al Davis "Just win, baby!". The rest will take care of itself. Way too early to be looking at polls and RPI. Win the MAAC Conference and then take a look. Until then it is meaningless. Put the energy into supporting the Gaels.

We play 4 more OOC games...They have for the most part have a easier outlook then they had at the beginning of the season......Pomeroy's RPI and teams records are listed.....
Iona 3-2 RPI 68 N. Iowa 2-4 RPI 94 Note...Will probably take a big drop.. St. BONNY 5-2 RPI 96 Nevada 3-6 RPI 206 Dayton 6-1 RPI 37
We will probably be favorite in all but Dayton which is now a Top 20 national team....St. Bonny is a home game, while N. Iowa and Nevada having down years so far, are away....If we can go 3-1 and win the next 2 MAAC games we will enter the main MAAC portion at 8-3...This looks do-able keeping our recent form without a stumble...with the remaining 18 games against the weak MAAC teams and hopefully 3 in the MAAC Tourney prospects for another 20+ game season looks bright..............But ''The best laid plans of mice and men go astray''...

And Manhattan is #10! Are you sure this isn't in reverse order?

Another example of being located just outside a media based big city bias....

The best way to leapfrog Manhattan on this list is to beat them whenever we play them this season. They are 6-2 at present and that is with Beamon having shot poorly most of their games thus far. We can't count on that continuing indefinitely. They are easily the better defensive team, but offensively I believe we have more weapons than they do. Should be a classic confrontation each time the two teams meet. If we win those games the media will have to acknowledge it.

What I want to know, does Jon Rothstein still consider Manhattan the clear favorite in the MAAC race?
