Are there any "Bigs" on our schedule? I know we have Indiana State, and Florida Gulf Coast coming in, but don't remember hearing about any other home games. We go to George Mason and Wofford, but that's all I know. Anyone else have anything?

Nothing confirmed, but pretty sure we are in discussions with some bigs in the tri-state area that wouldn't require too much traveling for the fans. Nothing confirmed though. Also, not sure if Indiana State was a return game, is that confirmed?
AWAY George Mason Wofford
HOME Gulf Coast Indiana State (?) Cleveland State (?)

Indiana State was a Bracket Buster game, so I'm assuming they'll be coming. Ghost, with all their freshmen, two of whom are pretty good imo, Long and Wright, and having the Tourney in Albany next year, they'll be off the walls.

Also, one of the bigs being floated out there for a game next season is UConn. Nothing in stone yet, but believe we're working on a matchup with them.

Last time we played UConn they swept the floor with us. Believe it was in Willard's last season. Hopefully this time around we have a better showing.

At least they give us a shot from time to time. Unlike St. Chicken.

If we by the grace of God make the NCAA Tournament again this year I would like to think that we will find some other exciting opportunities for our OOC Schedule.

I like most fans would like to see some of the top teams on our schedule, but we should be very careful not to over schedule that has been the bane of many programs...Over the years I have witnessed this ambition destroy many teams, some of which still have not recovered, others that never will... And then there our those that do poorly at the level they are and look down at the better teams that surround them...

In my opinion, we should recruit some "bigs" before we try to schedule games against "Bigs"

Resumeman, I understand what you are saying but its kind of like what came first the chicken or the egg. Iona probably needs a schedule against bigs to have a legit shot to recruit high level bigs. I say bring them on! Hines and Robinson will develop and so far a schedule with home games against 3 respected mid majors and a possible UConn matchup is pretty impressive. And still leaves 5 more games to go which knowing the way TC schedules will probably be away games against pretty good teams. Love to see the Gaels tackle this type of schedule

Tougher schedules result in better recruits. Proven over and over again.
