I have noticed in a couple of the previous game threads a couple of posts concerning their injuries. The post on Robinson said that he may have knee surgery and was not sure if he would be available next year. The post on Hines said he was on crutches and had some possible ACL injury and did not sound good. I think these two showed promise and would play important roles next year. Anybody have any info confirming these previous posts? With the loss of Scott this year also it is pretty hard luck to lose 3 freshmen bigs. wish well for all 3 young men and looking forward to see them contribute next year

fyi, scott dressed friday night Did not know that. I thought I read that he was going to take a medical redshirt this season. With only 9 regular season games remaining I would think it would be in his best interest as well as Iona's to redshirt and not waste a year of eligibility

Can Scott get into a game now and still redshirt? I don't think so, but there could be a game due to foul trouble and injuries where they could be desperate enough to use him.

I'm SURE they don't want to use him, and basically waste a year. It is encouraging that he can practice with the team. Joebird's use of the word, desperate seems appropriate to me.

Just the other night, Siena had 6 players foul out. Hopefully, in our upcoming games we can avoid any more injuries or multiple players fouling out, since we have such a depleted bench. Seems like that might be the only way for Grant Ellis to get any significant playing time though. Really down about Ryden Hines being out, he provided good energy and showed flashes of being a good contributor. My wish is that he and Robinson heal properly and rehabilitate quickly so that they can play next season.

Hustled on D in the paint, drained some 3's and was productive on the boards. In the last 2 or 3 games he played, he looked a step slow and my first thought was fatigue as perhaps the season and game pace has caught up to the Freshman. My other thought was this kid may be injured. Anyhow, I'm hopeful Hines can rehabilitate and come back a year older and stronger next season, as we will need his inside presence to help take some pressure off of DL and Scott.
