Congrats to all. AJ was the only non-senior on the 1st team. Now let's hope some more good news arrives with Cluess getting COY accolades later this week.

The Women's program also well represented on the All-MAAC Team with Martinez and Adams first team and Powell second team. Great year in Iona Basketball. High hopes for the MAAC Tournament.

Way to go Gaels! I know that they enjoy the recognition but I will bet that to a man (and woman) these two teams still feel that there is plenty of work left to do.
Go Gaels!!!!

Though his numbers wouldn't support it, somehow I feel Tre Bowman deserves to be included somewhere on that list.
Tre is Iona's most unsung player. What a terrific player he has been, he'll sorely be missed.
Congratulations to all.

Getting greedy here, but I wish that IW could have qualified as ROY candidate. The beauty of the team when 6 guys play all the minutes and share the ball. We love them all!

The individual recognition is great, but I bet most of the players would rather be MAAC Champions and having the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament. I remember the joy Momo, Taaj, Sean and all the others expressed upon winning the MAAC Championship last year. That was all that mattered. That was the reward they cherished and coveted for all their hard work and perseverance. I bet Sean, Tre, David, Dashawn, Tavon and Grant have expressed that sentiment to the new members of the team. I know we will get full effort from this group as they understand what it takes.

I'm sure Tre is figuring that he'll just have to win the MAAC Tourney MVP to make upo for it. ;-) Husker, I agree, they want back to the dance and I am sure they have impressed that upon their teammates. This team plays TEAM ball so I am sure they are all on the same page. Go Gaels!
