Not sure how many of you guys watched America's Got Talent this summer; the show's finals were last night. I don't watch shows like this because America votes for the winners and Americans are greatly uncultured. But my wife watches the show, and I stopped in my tracks when I heard Jackie Evancho, a 10-year-old girl with a world-class opera voice. I started watching the show each week, and got literally choked up every time she performed, as she advanced all the way to last night's finals.

Where America chose someone else.
