Just a few interesting comparisons to other Iona stars at the SG position after their soph seasons. Should make everyone appreciate what AJ's doing even more: AJ: 17.3 ppg, 4.3 apg, 41% fg, 77% ft Burtt Sr: 22.1 ppg, 1.8 apg, 51% fg, 73% ft Green: 13.1 ppg, 0.6 apg, 41% fg, 67% ft Burtt Jr: 13.5 ppg, 2.3 apg, 44% fg, 82% ft Hamilton: 10.2 ppg, 3.3 apg, 42% fg, 78% ft Wonder how AJ will stack up to the rest after their junior seasons? ;-)

Steve Burtt Sr. stands out to/for me. His 51% (FG) is tremendous for a guard. Of course we were expecting that, because we all considered him a super star. AJ sort of snuck up on us, as it was obvious that he was good, but not super star good. A welcome surprise.
Kevin Hamilton's stats need an asterisk, as he played prior to the three point field goal.

Burtt Sr. He was an athletic freak.
My thought is if he was on todays team he would average 40. L-Train probably 50.

NBADraft.net has AJ on the draft board for 2016 in the 2nd round. Ironically wedged between Qualls on Arkansas and a kid from St. John's. www.nbadraft.net/2016mock_draft

This way he'll improve his handle against the press.

The mock draft above is for 2016, not 2015, so it assumes he would stay for his senior year. Which I agree, I think he will (and should).

this topic should cease, its disrespectful to all the great players that we had, they played defense and unselfish and played to win. AJ is a taller version of momo, not big enough to play in the nba, he didn't work on his handle during the off season which he needed to do to play in the nba and that shows me something he doesn't play bad defense, that would be disrespectful to bad defensive players he plays no defense at all

But I will agree that his defensive inspiration is fairly nonexistent.
