Pretty sure Ensor's been quoted that NJIT isn't a fit for the MAAC. Too committed? I also like Tooties plan moreso because it allows more ooc games. The MAAC did in fact have a North and South division split in 1989-90 (6 teams in each division).

The MAAC Conference under Ensor has reached the stage of stagnation...He has been the MAAC Comm. since the 1980's and as the years go by the flame of initiative grows into embers of 'Lets not rock the boat'...It has reached that stage, and until the spark of new blood who are willing to explore new ideas arrives, it will remain the same...
This is not a unusual occurrence...When that time of satisfaction and security is reached, initiative is lost and 'Filling out the years' sets in....
The MAAC had one of it poorest performance this past year, and chances are this will continue...The time has arrived for Ensor to retire and turn over the reigns to a new younger battery...
A major start would be to find another venue and another place for the MAAC tourney......It will not be long before the fortunes of college basketball will lead to a bottom of the barrel team representing the MAAC In the NCAA tourney while the clear top team settles elsewhere...A forerunner, but not quite scenario almost happened this year and the results were a disgraceful MAAC showing.

We're all barking about changing the format, which has been in existence for 30 years. Had Amayo made the dunk and Iona played strong for the final 6 minutes instead of going fetal, no one would give a crap about the format. How about we just win the games we're supposed to win?

NJIT would be an interesting addition once that arena is completed. I've always thought Robert Morris could work in the MAAC, too, but there is no clear travel partner for them. As for an early prediction for next year...
1) Iona 2) Manhattan 3) Monmouth 4) Canisius 5) Quinnipiac 6) Rider 7) Marist 8) Siena 9) Fairfield 10) St. Peter's 11) Niagara

Saw on Guy's Twitter feed that Monmouth was doing a trip to Shanghai. Also believe Siena did something similar last year in Montreal. Can't remember us ever doing something like this? Seems like a solid recruiting edge, albeit an expensive $$$ one.

05, I know that time flies, but it seems that our trip to Canada, wasn't that long ago. Can anybody help? And the Women's team went on a trip to Italy, a while before.

Ireland was a long time ago. And come to think of it, we might have travelled to Australia.

Obviously, I would amend my previous list and rank Niagara last now. That roster turnover will probably be too much for them.
