It seems Seton Hall was the only team obviously troubled by the altitude.

Fordham Coach receives a one-year contract extension. This presumably is a reward for winning 9 home OOC games against the worst rated OOC schedule in D-1 and going under .500 in conference, with wins consisting of a sweep of the two worst teams in the conference for four wins and a home win against RI without Hassan Martin. Their best win of the year was a home win over Davidson rated 106 by Ken Pom. This team lost to Boston College, which went ofer in ACC play. It also lost its only true road game OOC against U Texas Arlington. They did lose senior guard Mandell Thomas for a good part of the conference schedule. Low bar on Rose Hill.
On the plus side they won 17 games and paid to host a CIT game, which they promptly lost to Patriot League Boston U.

Neubauer has four promising new players for next season. I don't know if that's enough reason to give an extension but it's the only one I can think of.

Add in the fact that Fordham stopped being a laughingstock of a program last season. For Fordham that is significant. I can understand why they extended him; this appears to be the first real progress in 20 plus years for them.

Just the fact that there were not only two, but six worse teams than them in the A10 is a major victory of sorts. Been at the bottom a long time.

Probably just an auto extension tied to his contract for minimum # of wins regardless of how those wins come.

For me NYC hoops is SJ's Fordham Manhattan Hofstra and Iona. I've posted a lot about all of them. I don't think much about St. Francis, LIU or Stoney Brook.

College basketball coaches today, no matter their record always seem to find another job...It appears the longer they hang around, the better their chances...Few if any colleges powers will take a chance with new faces for fear of disappointing ridicule...This has led to 'Safety first' hiring and resulting into re-thread careers.....
Example of taking a chance and not hiring scared...
IONA.....TIM CLUESS.....JACKPOT.....

Stony Brook is more relevant than Fordham in NY Hoops right now Well instead of opening the thread and complaining why don't you tell us something interesting, or make an interesting observation or prediction or give us some news on Stoney Brook, unless you don't care about the topic in which case I'll restate my point - don't open the thread.
