I just checked the X-C rosters, and I don't see Kate Avery's name on the Women's side. If this isn't a typo it would be a TERRIBLE blow to the Women's program. Anyone know?

We are only fans, and have NO IDEA about the financial circumstances an athlete or their family is in, so all we can do is wish her all the best, and thank her for, "That one shining moment". But it sort of reminds me of Jeff signing with an agent, and leaving before his last year. I'll close by saying, that she 'owed' Ric a phone call and NOT a text message.

We also lost indoor mile All-American Rosie Clarke who elected to forgo her final year of NCAA cross country eligibility. The two defections dropped our rankings for the region from 2nd to 12th.
Kate and Rosie will be both be turning 24 in a few weeks. If they have the sponsorship and want to train full time for a shot at the GB national team for the Olympics... now is the time.

Big run from the men today - 5th at very competitive Wisconsin adidas invite without their #3 Motschmann. Team showed depth with freshman Liam Dee their 5th in 24:30 and soph Brandon Allen equaling that time in the open race. If Motschmann finishes with O'Dowd the team gets 2nd (if my math is correct). I'm guessing that highly touted frosh runner, Jac Hopkins, is either injured or being red-shirted. Anyone know why Motschmann didn't run, today?
