Since the Ferguson ''Hands up'' fiasco 44 law enforcement officer have been murdered...How those that instigated it can sleep at night is beyond me.... How many children will not play baseball with their fathers ? How many wifes will cry themselves to sleep each night? How many parents will shed a silent tear as they gaze to the empty seat at the Christmas family gathering? To those that started and follow this movement....''Have you no shame''

Any idea how many people police have killed in that time period? In this age of stats and records, that number is awfully difficult to come across by, if it is even kept track of. Look I support the police, and I believe an overwhelming percent of police officers do a great job serving the public, but I'd be foolish to believe that every person in uniform does an honorable job.

National Crime statistic are closely and accurately kept....They of course are manipulated to fit political purposes (as is today's general overall practice)...Read Nicole Gelinas column in todays NY POST for a prime example....

While your point is valid, OT, shouldn't/aren't policemen held to a higher standard than "regular" people in the work force?

[]While your point is valid, OT, shouldn't/aren't policemen held to a higher standard than "regular" people in the work force?
Guy....They are held to the same standard that all people should be...There is no such think as degrees when it comes to honor...Are regular people to be held to and accepted at a lower standard that you would expect from a law enforcement officer? St. Louie.....Police protect life and property...In the course of doing so they on rare occasions use poor judgment...Having investigated many such type incidents and sat as hearing officer on others. I have never found one that was purposely perpetrated...Criminals commit crimes, injure or kill with purpose.....................St. Louie...Do I see a metamorphosis? A weekend spent with a Police Officer in a busy area would bring strong enlightenment.....

A weekend spent with a Police Officer in a busy area would bring strong enlightenment.....
I don't know what you see, but I am always progressing! Hopefully, the cake visual comes through so you can see the detail and effort expended by the baker. That cake was baked in late July 2014 for my wife and I (our birthdays are 3 days apart) by a police officer who was on the Ferguson front lines. I hope it begins to answer your question. PO Kemp and I have had similar discussions on Ferguson as we have had here - much less judgmental. Kemp knows how much we enjoy the beach.

Just my opinion of course.

OT, you often belittle others by calling them naive or misguided, but while I have no reason to not believe that you "never found one that was purposely perpetrated" You would have had to have been deaf and blind not to know that their were corrupt police and even criminals on the force. I grew up around police officers and for the most part the guys I knew were great men and honorable police officers. Having said that, I also knew cops who sold confiscated drugs, who were blatantly racist, who were just bad guys. These were not people who "on rare occasions" used poor judgement. These were genuinely bad people. I find it hard to believe you were unaware of this behavior. There are bad people everywhere - and yes, police need to be held to higher standard by virtue of the fact that they carry a gun and have the power to incarcerate people. Guy is absolutely correct.

And now James Blake gets brutalized by 5 police officers even though he was 100% cooperative and the wrong guy. Internal affairs will find the officers did nothing wrong because it was all done in a "good faith" effort to apprehend what they thought was a suspect wanted on serious federal charges. They may as well copy and paste my paragraph into the news story released 6-8 weeks from now after the "investigation" is complete.

It did not take long for Greg, Super and St Louie to recover their leftist leaning ways since their ''Hands Up'' disgraceful fiasco...
Lets give Blake $6 Million also, that ought to make the trio happy and maybe avoid the press and charlitans instigated riot sure to come...
