Came away with the idea that he thinks he's younger than he really is, evidenced by his tearing a knee cartilage while skiing in Colorado last week. He was unable to attend.
Pam Bottge who was organizing the entire Florida trip, had a car accident on the way to Sarasota that day, so she was unable to attend.
Paul Sutera (VP for Advancement) met with the Sarasota group (very lightly attended). He reviewed the entire scope of the Iona Forever campaign. When asked specifically about the athletic facilities, he did not offer a timeline but confirmed the plan is scheduled to be completed in 3 phases. jerryiona was there also.

Super, did Paul give a breakdown on which projects go into which phase? I'm guessing that Gym Hynes is in the third phase. Dr. Nyre was at yesterday's game and was walking with a limp. Back around Christmas, he had to use a cane to get around, indicating that the skiing accident was a couple of months back.

NJIT broke ground last week on a new Event Center, which will include a 3500 (presently 1500) capacity arena. Described by a Monmouth fan as similar to Monmouth's arena. We keep up or fall behind.
