Along with Newsome and Tucker, ESPN has listed this young man as considering us for some time. Any word on him? ESPN Grade of 80. He's listed as 6"6'
Ryan Romich. January, 2010: Playing with an injured finger on his shooting hand, Romich didn't shoot the ball particularly well in today's game (2010 Hoophall Classic) but still found ways to make his presence felt. His best offense came on the low post where he showed an evolving game with his back to the basket including a bouncy baby hook and good footwork in high-low action. He continued to be a live body at both ends, utilizing his mobility to make plays defensively, going to the glass, running the floor, and finishing above the rim in transition. Because of how hard he plays the game he will make a role for himself at the next level but he is a player who doesn't really have a position and needs to continue to polish his perimeter skills.

He visited Iona, last summer, and after talking with coaches, I came away with the feeling that he was a fallback recruit. Saw on the Niagara board (at least I think that it was the Niagara board) that they were considering him.

We need a bigger and better rated power forward ...We are in a great position to be selective....This one position could change us from a good mid-major to a top mid-major this coming season...particularly in our OOC games where the inside game is bigger and stronger. I would be dissapointed if we did not find higher then a MAAC type player....... Go Gaels!!!!
