A history lesson for those that run and hide from reality...... 100 years ago today in probably at that time was the greatest casualty list for one day in the history of warfare...58,000 British Soldiers died or were wounded in the Western Front battle of the Somme in 24 hours..... Do you think there is enough fortitude in today's world of ''I don't want to know about it'' to withstand that kind of slaughter or don't even have any idea if and when it occurred... ''Those that don't know the lessons of history are sure to repeat them'' Well, that really flows from the Mets of today being pansies. And the fact that 58,000 Brits were not slaughtered yesterday makes all you assholes pansies. Do you think that more than 10,000 people lost their homes to the floods in Louisiana in the past week makes them pansies and lacking in fortitude? Rather than living in a fantasy of a never existing America, how about facing up to the fact that climate is changing? How about the people of Katrina? In your world, those souls in Louisiana do not count as much as 58,000 brits.  |

Trump cozying up to a thuggish dictator with plans to expand Russian territory in eastern Europe reminds me of Neville Chamberlain. Looking for Trump to declare he as secured "peace in our time" as he throws Ukraine and our NATO allies under the bus. He's been unwittingly (due to simple ignorance) converted by Putin into a de facto Russian operative. His claims that if he loses the election is rigged fall right into Putin's hands of sowing doubt about our elective process and pitting the parties against each other. The losing party accepting the results and trying to work with the winning party has been the bedrock of our Democracy, as demonstrated by voters and elected officials of the Greatest Generation, who always put country above party and politics.

St.Louis........Floods have been devastated parts of the world forever...1931 The Yangtze river in China over flowed causing a estimated 2 million lives...
New Orleans has had floods for over 400 years...Chances they will still have them for another 400 year...Politicians in that area instead of investing in proper flood control find that there is more money to be made by rebuilding every dozen or so years then investing in the proper permanent structures.....
For your poorly informed info.....It mattered not to me who the poor souls were that needed help, but to the run towards ''The sound of the guns''
By the way...How are things in Ferguson? A month or two ago I posted that we would see riots, disruptions, turmoil and crime in our country the likes we have never seen before in the coming months...Look around you, and be prepared...The trouble makers smell blood....!!!!!
