Sad to hear of the death of legendary broadcaster Bob Wolff. I met Mr. Wolf close to 35 years ago, playing with his son Rick with the New Rochelle Robins baseball team. He came to quite a few games, and was a great guy who was very generous. He refused to take a dime to speak at a Salesian HS sports award dinner, when I coached there. Even long after my playing days, whenever our paths would cross at a sporting event, he would always take the time to say hello and talk about the old days spending summer weekends at New Rochelle's City Park. RIP.

A Legend, as his career goes back to 'calling' Don Larsen's perfect WS game in 1956.

He is one of what I imagine is a rather short list to have interviewed Babe Ruth and Derek Jeter.

He is one of what I imagine is a rather short list to have interviewed Babe Ruth and Derek Jeter. And Richard Nixon!

Growing up in the 60's in New Rochelle, he was all over the airwaves. A gentleman I am sure! RIP
