So, how 'bout those Mets? Being a Met fan is a genetic flaw. Unfortunately, I have it. Winning is not a priority for the Wilpons. The team is secondary to developing the real estate around Citi Field. The team is run by a lawyer (Sandy Alderson) with zero eye for recognizing talent, especially young talent. To make things worse, the team across town has an endless pipeline of young, future superstars. They'll never win with the current ownership in place. Nothing good ever lasts with this team. Sucks.

The Mets started the season at 11 wins 1 defeat....Then they found out that Mgr. Callaway was nothing more then a pushover...Since then they have dropped below 500% and have lost aprox.32 of their next 48 games and are now with their present 6 game losing streak have fallen several games below the five hundred mark... . Callaway has not shaven or trimmed his beard since season started...He rarely if ever enters the diamond or uses any stimulation to inspire...His after game interviews are boring, dram and full of excuses...He clearly has lost control of his team...The injury list has been infested by at least 75 percent of the team and the pitchers were clearly not prepared for the seasons start, particulary the reliefs who have been horrible...
How owners and Gen.Mgrs are so inenept and casual selecting Mgrs. who are the most important cog in the franchise...It appears that word of mouth withouth a complete investigation is excepted.....
Hell of a way to run a multi million dollar business.........!!!!!!!!

Hell of a way to run a multi million dollar business.........!!!!!!!! From a business standpoint the Wilpons are highly successful... paid a total of $431 million for a franchise with a current (conservative) value of $2.1 billion... a 386% gain since 2002. That's why it's so frustrating being a Met fan... even with their ineptitude, they still make money!

2.1billion/431million. Hmmm, that's 487% not 386%. I'm starting to realize something here. It's too bad though that Cuban wasn't sold the team. We're stuck with the Wilpons for "generations to come" as Fred Put it. He's no good.

The Mets have scored a grand total of 8 runs in last 7 games...That is beyond horrible its unbelieveable...More wrong then meets the eye......
Only a few minutes to Post time in Belmont Stakes....LIKE VINO ROSSO...enough speed to stay out of trouble and get clear at top of stretch........OT

Only a few minutes to Post time in Belmont Stakes....LIKE VINO ROSSO...enough speed to stay out of trouble and get clear at top of stretch........OT Now i know why after winning the Wood this horse looked so bad- it got jinxed 1970 1970..........If you had followed up stories of the race, he may have got purposedly blocked by another horse from the same stable as the winner...Once a race horse loses his speed stride he is practically finished...The are not my allegations but those of the owners and trainors of Vino Rosso and others..... Strange things happen in horse racing......I was once at Belmont with 6 or more friends....After studing the Racing past performance I found a horse that I thought could steal a HURDLE race as he had very good early speed, but became tired and finished badly...He was 30-1...Looking over the rest of the horses in the race they were all come from behind races...Taking my touting we all pooled our money and made a rather large bet especially for a 30-1 shot.... The race went off and our horse took an immediately lead with no other horse near him...With no one to press him, he went over each hurdle with a ever widening lead to a easy victory....We were all delighted as with are pooled money we had won a couple of thousand dollars. As we waited for the prices, it seem to us as taking a longer time then usual...After a longer wait the INQUIRY sign went up...We were not to concerned because our horse went wire to wire with not another horse within 8-10 lengths anywhere near him.... After a unusual long wait our horse was taken down and placed last...The explanation was as follows:......When our horse was weighed after the race as was the rule it seemed that somewhere during the race he lost a WEIGHT and weighed less then when he started... We stopped on the way home and consolled each other with a few beers..!!

Bumping this because once again (same shit different year) they're heading toward irrelevance by Memorial Day.
I think Tim Cluess should become the Mets skipper, he wins everywhere and it wouldn't conflict very much with his basketball schedule.

CJB, I don't think that TC would enjoy meeting with the media every day.
