Jason is starting to wow them in STL. Frank Cusamano, local sportscaster, is referring to him as Marvelous Motte.
I just watched Jason mow down three Reds in the 8th, with one strikeout. He may be the closer by the end of the season.

Thought I would take a little closer look at how Jason is progressing this year.
He has made 12 appearances so far or 48% of games played, compared to 42% last year. His W-L is 1-1, with a 1.69 ERA over 10 innings, with 9k's. His BA against is .205, compared to career .241.
He is developing a slider to go with his 97MPH+ fastball. Clearly, he is trending in the right direction.
