Looks like the player and his parents are pretty pumped for Iona. That's great!

Looks like he has a good shot and unlimited range but who else was offering? That is always a good gauge of how good they are, doubt he had many better offers. Maybe he can become our Max McGee, but the likelihood of us making a big signing is less each time we sign one of these unheralded kids.

Doesn't have a profile on verbal commits, so pretty safe to say Iona is his only offer. His signing gives me the impression that it's quite possible Ortale is either a walk on or no longer coming, which is possible he hasn't signed his LOI yet. Also gives me the impression, along with the offer to SF Yoro Sidibe (who I am liking more and more as I ask around), that there is a possibility of multiple players not returning.

Sounds like he wants to go to the NCAA tournament; he’s in the right program for that!

Weiss made 2nd team All-State in class 5A in Florida. First team was all 4&5 star recruits, including a couple of one and done type recruits. Will be interesting to see how the '19 recruiting class ends up. I think it's far from over.

Someone mentioned a three point threat, good to hear, needed. Would like to see Ben Perez improve his 3 % a little and Get EJ back to his freshman numbers from behind the Arc.

Hate to speculate but is Crawford leaving as a grad transfer? That would sting. Anyone else?

Well, he had 22 receptions in 6 games for a 23.6 Yard average with 8 TD's. That's not bad.

Interesting. When did walk-ons sign LOI'S?

His brother, Cooper Weiss, was a very good HS quaterback who now plays Safety at Fordham.
Their father is Bart Weiss, who was the 1985 runner up for the Davey O'Brien Award. He had three wins against Notre Dame during his career as a starter. He led his team to a final #5 ranking in 1985.
The kid comes from good stock.
