DWI Poll Closed Today

As many of you are aware, the poll asked:

Have You Ever Driven a Car When You Had Too Much to Drink?

86.6% of those who responded said they had; while 13.3% said they had never done so.

I felt the "Had's" would out-number the "Had Not's", but had no idea by what margin.

What conclusion(s) do you think can be drawn from the poll?

Too many people drive when they know they shouldn't!

Perhaps an addendum to the poll would be to find out when was the last time those who "had" above did so. Not that it's an "excuse", but if the last time a lot of us did so was in college (and a commuter college at that), it's at LEAST a bit more understandable.

I'd really have to think about this one. I really don't drink any more, maybe a couple times a year do I have "more than 1", so I'd definitely have to go back to my 20s to find the answer. If I had to guess, I'd say around 25 or 26.

I realized that when putting the poll together.

Other questions might have been:

o How many times had you done this?

o Where you ever stopped by the police when driving when you had too much?

o Did you ever have an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol?
