So the team we scoffed at when the schedule was released (Stetson) may prove to be more of a challenge than we thought. I’m not giving them credit for being a good team either... Maybe we should consider starting our second “5”.

Stetson got murdered today. If you think today was murder, wait until Monday. It’s Friday that we should be concerned about 😉

Hi guys, glad to be back. Chance to take a look at Stetson tonight as they play Ohio State at 830pm on the Big Ten Network. MAAC also on TV tonight ad Monmouth is on the ACC network at 7pm at PITT.
Obviously not the start we expected, but the health of coach Cluess is the number one priority, as that's more important than wins and losses. Coach Arnold has been forced into a very difficult situation, hopefully with a week of practice the team can pull off a couple wins in Florida and turn the season around. Just a couple takes off the first 2 games. I think Iona has a player in Van Eyck. Hope to see Ristanovic and Perez get more PT this weekend. Iona's biggest potential strength is depth and looking at the stats each game the rotation was tight. AJ Mcneal getting healthy will go a long way as well for a longer rotation. I have watched every MAAC team play this season and despite the slow start, I still believe Iona is the team to beat.
On a personal note, I have been dealing with health problems the last month with still a ways to go as far as recovery. While I have not posted I have constantly read the board and can't say enough how this board helped get me thru some difficult days and a extended hospital stay and will continue to help thru recovery. Can't express how thankful I am to you guys and for this board. Thanks to all of you!!
Looking forward to a winning streak but more importantly coach Cluess getting healthy.

Maybe you're the good luck charm! Fully agree that the MAAC has been less than impressive yet again, and our league champ feels like a 15 seed at best and more likely a 16. Also fully agree that, assuming we get Tim back soon, we'll be the team to beat.

Isn't it strange that both Sharkey and Cluess have been missing the last couple of weeks.
Now I know why Sharkey is so knowledgeable about Iona basketball..he is Cluess!
Get healthy soon Sharkey and start coaching...I mean posting again!

Sharkey great to see you posting, get better soon and hopefully your return will bring the Gaels some luck! If Coach Cluess also returns soon I think JerseyGael may be on to something!
