My only question(s) about the roster is that while we have guards and big men, we don't have any wing type players. Does RP play mostly three guards and two bigs? Or are we still after another recruit? Jeanlouis Brown Ross These guys, especially JeanLouis, look like big guards to me.

Any early guesses at starting five? Washington Chavez Jeanlouis Van Eyck Shema That would be good, but I would go with Gist over Chavez due to experience level.

Any early guesses at starting five? Washington Chavez Jeanlouis Van Eyck Shema I think Pitino will help Washington and Gist reach their full potential. They could become a dynamic backcourt if they are willing to pay the price...

Funny, with all of the hype on how great Pitino's recruiting class is, it's quite possible 3 of next season's starters could be Cluess recruits. Not a knock on his recruiting class at all, which has great potential.

Quality seniors almost always start.

I think it's possible that IW, Gist and Van Eyck could start with Shema and Jeanlouis. I can see Chavez as the first one off the bench and providing instant offense. Of course it's way too early but it's fun thinking about this and well what else do most nuts like us have to do but speculate and dream about next season.
Just wondering how most would feel if this is the group we're going into next season with minus one player from last year. Did Pitino exceed your expectations, meet them or fall short? Can this team as currently built compete in the MAAC for the title? Can this team win up games?
Again I know it's way too early but it's fun to think about while being home restricted from other activities.

Let's not forget Ross. Again, an older player. He would be 6th man.
That said, ALL of this is assuming that none of the other Pitino recruits or the Browns are absolute studs and take PT simply because they're better than the veterans. With that in mind, if Pitino plays some of the younger guys over the vets, that bodes well for the quality of the class, as I think we are all confident in the 4 key returnees.

I really think Chavez will be very good. Time will tell how all these guys will contribute, but I know one thing, they will be a lot of fun to watch. Iona better have some extra rims, because they might take a beating this year..lol

I like Ross a lot and would love to see how he does in Pitino's system. Just think Chavez from the tapes I watched is a better ball handler and better at creating his own shot. Ross is a more spot up shooter.

I envision this team being in the top 3 of the Maac.
