To be fair to D. Brown he may not have met the requirements partly due to school closings because of the pandemic.

To be fair to D. Brown he may not have met the requirements partly due to school closings because of the pandemic. Such as? Not completing a course. Not being able to get a personal tutor for SAT or Act. Do you find your life unchanged with the pandemic, '70. Mine has completely changed.

I will agree with I70--I have heard similar, that Pitino is really stressing academics. This is why we took extra commits--to have replacements for the casualties.

Guy, I know that you almost always agree with 1970, but could you at least tell us what he means when he says that standards were lowered. Did he mean just Iona standards were lowered? Thanks.

Thanks Greg, and that word drastically shows no excuse not to qualify

In fairness to ic59, the lowered standards are only for class of '20 freshmen, not JUCO kids from what has been reported. As far as Brown is concerned, was told there were personal issues that led him to leave his JUCO team last November. Wasn't told if he also left school. Either way too bad the kid didn't do what he had to do academically, and now blow a chance to play for a HOF coach.

Still on the him to qualify.

My point was that if DB had left one school to enroll at another the pandemic prevented him from doing so. Simple not complex.
