Figured we’d get this one started early. Hopefully we can pack the HAC on Friday. Team deserves it after the weekend they had.
Go Gaels!

Interesting how we just played Manhattan in probably the most buzzless meeting in the rivalry's history, and now suddenly we have all sorts of juice for Friday.
My guess: Iona opens a 2-point favorite.

This is as good a thread as any to point out that very few posters out here have given any props or credit to Arnold for the 2 game turnaround. Several constantly attacked him and tagged him with much of the blame. We are all aware Tim has been in his ear all along, and he was here too, with the decision to go with the best 5. Arnold's done the best he can, and he was put into a shitty spot--remember all of that? It's still true, despite the past 2 games. Props for Coach Arnold in doing his part to keep hope alive.

Agree I ripped him, and yes he should take some credit for last weekends resurgence. I held back giving him props because I felt like we need to see this again at least this coming weekend to make sure this wasn't a mirage. At this point this season is still a disaster, but it's there in front of Arnold to get accolades for a truly miraculous turnaround, to be continued...

Props to everyone for a nice weekend. But lets see it last more than 2 games before we start patting anyone on the back and saying great job.
Last weekend means nothing without an equal effort this weekend.

After the ass kicking at Draddy the Gaels have an opportunity to redeem themselves beta home crowd. This game will tell us a lot about this team. I look for them to come out with determination and confidence. This is a statement game. Are we ready to turn this around? Also wouldn’t it be great if TC returned for this game. I know it’s a long shot but it would really great.

I don't disagree with the takes above, as a 2-game turnaround does not equal last year's 10-game turnaround by any means. Just want us to be consistent re Arnold.
No one loss will kill us the rest of the way, the damage has already been done. As I and a couple others have said, just find a way to get to the 5 seed. Not only will that demonstrate marked improvement from what we saw most of this season, but it puts us in a very real position to win the damn thing again. Much work to be done, but the season isn't over again if we lose a game this weekend. I believe 05 said the league record to hit is 11-9, as that should keep us out of the PIG. To do that we can go 6-2 the rest of the way. Realistic, given how we've played the past couple games. As the cliche goes, one game at a time.

Not sure how much Valentines Day will effect the crowd. I think for people who have been married for a while like me, it won't matter (I'll be there), but have to think it will lower attendance by a decent percentage, say 20% or so?

Guy- cu there bring the heat, & more fans. Gameplan: Lets play our best 5 players same lineup: Crawford, Ross, Agee, Washington, Van Eyck. Give them heavy mins & we'll be just fine. Sub as needed if those enter foul trouble.
