Yes recommendation was to host a virtual presser for Pitino, with interactive capabilities so that the media could ask questions and fans could view it online. Fell on deaf ears. Thank you for making the attempt.

With zero sports this conference would get aired on a main ESPN network. I also told Vitale he could do a 1 on 1 with Pitino. He thanked me for the suggestion.

Guy... has there been a dramatic increase in new users ghosting this forum? I've banned that particular address.

Maroon Maniacs is better but sounds dumb for all the old alumni that are the majority of true fans. Manhattan has a good one with the 6th Borough. Something with North Avenue may work, but it really has to come about organically. Resurrect Bumpers Traveling Circus, Iona's fan base name from the Valvano/Kennedy era. The North Ave component was "Bumpers" a North Ave watering hole owned by Iona alum Pete Ballo.

When I was a kid, Iona stood for Irish On North Avenue. With the arrival of Jim Valvano, and now Rick Pitino, the Italians might have replaced the Irish, except that the President of the College is named Seamus.

We can't resurrect stuff from the 70s, fellas.
Gael Nation is fine. We've been using it for a few years now.

u think there is more than one wildcat nation? Exactly! Or Tigers, or Eagles, etc. We can only hope we are included in the same sentence as St Mary's over the next couple seasons.
