One positive note in regards to Loyola and Morgan St. , The return games next year should both be done on the same trip. I believe both schools are in the Baltimore area. Yes they are. The staff has reached out to Baltimore AAU programs recently. Can also be used as a recruiting tool

Agree with above sentiments, we heard for years we weren't getting any home games and now we have 3. I don't have the energy to look up when the last time we hosted 3 OOC opponents was, but it wasn't THAT recent. I'm fine with the move. Iona needs a good OOC to get the Pitino era off to a good start, and jacking up the schedule year 1 isn't the way to do it. Years with 3 or more home games over the 22 years since the MAAC moved above the 14 game conference schedule. 2015- 2016: Delaware, Texas Southern & Drexel.2014-2015: Cleveland State, Delaware State, Indiana State & FGCU.2013-2014: Wofford, GMU & St. Bonaventure,. 2010-2011: Richmond, FDU, Vermont & Hofstra.2009-2010: BU, Norfolk State, LIU & Albany.2008-2009: Hampton, RMU, St. Francis (PA) 2004-2005: St. Bonaventure, Fordham, VCU & URI2003-2004: Vermont*, GMU, Fordham & Holy Cross.2002-2003: Bethune Cookman, Wagner & URI.2000-2001: St. Francis (NY), Bucknell, Hofstra & Morgan State.1999-2000: UMASS, Coppin State & Fordham. 1998-1999: Hofstra, St. Francis (NY), Morgan State & UMASS.1997-1998: Fordham, Liberty & Wagner. * Game played at the County Center. In 22 years Iona has played 3 or more games 59% of the time. So 41% of the time we played only 2 home games. I think many of us think of the days when 5 home OOC schedule games were the norm, but that was when we had the 14 game MAAC schedules. Guy is 100% correct.

Honestly, I expect these type of teams at home early on the schedule every year under Pitino. He's done that his whle career. Allot of early season games with the Tennessee-Martin, Lamar, IUPUI type of teams. He'll sprinkle in up games in December, but don't expect many in Novemeber with the exception of tournament type games.

Next's year's schedule will be better, but I agree, you need OOC home games too.

Heard a rumor Grasso is bringing his squad down to the Bahamas, Grasso mentions the Bahamas in this podcast, same tournament? That would be some matchup drawing interest..Pitino vs Grasso. Bryant should have a pretty good team, strong recruiting class

From what I heard the plan was always Grasso hopefully taking over for Cluess. Pretty safe bet he's coaching Iona right now if Pitino doesn't take the job. There will be plenty of hype if Iona (Pitino) plays Bryant (Grasso).

Bryant is in Junkanoo Jam; this is not the same event Iona is rumored to be in.

NOV 16 @ Fordham Harvard Loyola MD Bahamas Morgann St @ San Francisco- opening game Any idea if the team is working on an additional game out west? Would make sense to play two games while out there for the San Francisco game.
