For The Older Board Members

When I was a kid, back in the forties and fifties, candy bars like Hershey's, Three Musketeers, Clark Bar, etc. sold for 5c. The expensive stuff like Mounds and Almond Joy's were a dime. Just wondering, and have no idea why, which of the two did you prefer? I was a Mounds guy, even though Almond Joys were pretty good. Might have something to do with not having much to do.

Loved them all. Developed a real obsession with peanut M&Ms. One reason I peaked at over 300 lbs. Today 170 lbs. Do not eat this crap anymore

The ultimate tooth destroyer was something called Turkish Chewing Taffy. It was possible to remove the stuff but the enamel had to come with it.

At 68 I believe I qualify as an "Older Board Member.

I was an Almond Joy fan. Because I usually feel like a nut.

I always enjoyed the "Oh, Oh, Oh" in the Bonomo commercials.

I trust all are staying well during these days of the Corona.

qs, she just got one from this Mounds lover. If you ever get over to Rye, they have an ice cream shop there, called either Langfords or Longfords. One of their most popular flavors is Mounds.
