We all know that my hearing is far from good, but I thought TA said that he had heard some good news, today. Anyone else hear that? Exactly what he said. Sounds like the staff has 1-2 commitments. Also said it could take a little bit to be announced |

Well done, Guy. I've said it before - the more I read and hear about TA the more I am convinced that he is the man for Iona. After the interview I am even more convinced that Iona is in very good hands with TA. He's a breath of fresh air.

Very encouraging that Coach Anderson is willing to engage the Iona community right away. He realizes he's in a bit of a Catch-22: He has no players so he can't get any players. The approach is to be aggressive but patient in recruiting. That seems like the best approach in this situation. We'll find out.

Great episode. Got me feeling really good about our coach. I agree complete breath of fresh air. I hope we are not looking for a coach again next year because I do like this one. I do think he is the right fit for the job and I hope he joins you on the podcast frequently. Also said the right things about engaging students which I know others have mentioned.

Also sounds like Tobin realizes that he has to make an effort to engage directly with the student body to increase student attendance at game/support.
Something that Pitino thought was beneath him.

Thanks, all, for the feedback! Coach will probably visit again once the roster is settled, so figure late summer. Pretty cool some of the tidbits he was hinting to. Definitely reassuring to hear all the work that they have done that simply just hadn't had the Is dotted and Ts crossed. |
