Guy, next time that you interview TA ask him what he thinks about recruiting 'overseas' players. He might have talked about them in your latest podcast and I simply missed it (very possible). In the upcoming NBA Draft the French kid, I won't even attempt spelling his name, is a slam dunk at going #1. And that will only hype foreign players. I'm wondering how you go about recruiting kids from Europe, Africa, etc. Do you have to have a friend who coaches in those areas or are there Agents that you deal with? Not sure others will agree, but for me it's a subject of interest.

Now I have one for all of you. Some of you noticed on my Youtube platform I had a separate version JUST with the Tobin interview, not including the full podcast. That was a specific request from Iona athletics, BTW. But the amount of views of the interview easily surpass the views of the full podcast--I attribute that to picking up a lot of non-Iona folks opting for that version. Do you guys agree? I guess what I'm asking is, do you guys find value in all the other stuff (Iotas, Roundup etc)? I know many of you dont need that since you're here regularly; I include all that newsy stuff for the more casual fans who dont spend much time here or on twitter. Just confirming it's worth keeping all that. So chime in, everyone. Thanks!

Two things:
1. Agree with Joebird's take when there is a high profile guest.
2. Background for my request about foreign recruits. And this might be an apples and oranges situation. All of us are college BB fans in general and Iona fans in particular. But we ALL know that from an historical perspective the most successful Iona team/sport is our X-C team. And the reason why they have been on top for so long is that they recruited overseas. Started with Irish runners and then Kenyan, British Isles, Morocco, Australia and Canada. So if it worked with the X-C team, and with the sport of BB exploding world-wide, maybe it would be a good idea to be ahead of the curve. Just like TC's emphasis on 3pt shooting made his tenure great.

Finally caught up with this, and definitely a home run. Your questions were terrific and spot-on. Great stuff. Agree that I like the other stuff and Joebird is correct. Possible exceptions for high profile guests. Re the question about our guys who hit the portal. I am a veteran of Franklin-Covey leadership courses and I can tell you under tough questions 101 the answer "It's a conversation we will have to have" translated to English means no. We will not be getting any of the portal guys back.
