I listened, but my hearing isn't great. I believe that she thought that our frontcourt was in good shape, but while I'm not sure whether the question was asked, I'm wondering where does she think that the points are coming from. Hopefully, no one answers, the players.

Where the points are coming from in the frontcourt, you mean? DeAngelo is probably going to be the best player on the team in a forward spot, so she'll be the primary weapon down low.

Guy, thanks. From the returning players, I have high expectations for Gomez and Otkhmezuri (I'll check the roster and correct the spelling).

Yup, those 2 and Fajardo should play the 1-3 spots (I am assuming we'll go with a 3-guard look but what do I know).

Guy, just got around to listening to the NIL episode, and want to congratulate you on your interview questions. I will admit that while I now know more about the Iona NIL, there is much I don't know, perhaps due to my hearing problems. For instance: * Did you say that Jim Oates is also president of the Alumni Board? He was very impressive, and I'm wondering what is his 'business' background, along with his undergrad activities? * If an athlete takes part in a commercial for a Corporate Sponsor, does he or she get paid directly by the CS? And, if so does the Iona NIL get a piece of the action? * I now understand the differences between the NIL and the GC, but am concerned about the adverse impact that the NIL will have on the GC, keeping in mind that the aim of the GC is to help the entire Athletic Department. * Will the Iona NIL issue annual financial reports? Showing, in addition to monies contributed, the number of contributors. * I know Agents were mentioned, but am not sure if it was said that athletes can have an agent?
Like most of us I'm more interested in the nuts and bolts of the BB team, and feel more at home in the Sports section, but every now and then it's good to read the financial section. Thank you.

You're right that people who were donating X to the Goal Club now have a decision to make with Gaels Nation. Do you contribute the same X to Gaels Nation and double your giving? Do you now do half of X to each so you're contributing the same? Or do you pick one or the other, based on principles, ie, "they never got extra money before and they shouldn't get it now so I'm giving it to GC" or "Iona is doing better financially than many other schools so they can cover their athletic costs and I'll contribute to NIL"? Completely a personal choice. A reminder that GC donations are just that--donations--and as such are tax deductible, while NIL collectives are NOT. By definition, you contribute to the collective, you don't donate to it. Along those lines, I don't think the collective has to generate any sort of financial report.
