I thought that Daly Dose was a one man show. And, when you say actual journalists, are you talking having a degree from college in Journalism? If you have a Blog, does that count? While, at Iona, I was granted Press Credentials, which enabled me to sit at Press Row at MSG in order to cover the Gaels, but I never thought of myself as a journalist. Reading a lot of sports stuff on the internet, I often read articles written by a Contributing Editor. So, mark me down as confused.

A contributing editor is just someone who gets paid to write an article. They are not on staff so don't receive a salary.
The guys supporting Daly Dose all are credentialed by the MAAC and other colleges. None of them are paid, not even Daly. But they are all capable folks. That I can say with certainty.
