Inspired by the latest podcast and being told that the team is already working out at the HAC, I'm giving my much too early assessment of the players. Giving my top three for a number of categories. And, yes I know it's early and these are only guesses. To begin" 1. PPG-Safe pick (Reaves) Long Shot (Patterson) Longer Shot (Winborne) 2. Rebounds Per Game-Safe Pick (Rupert) Long Shot (Moundi) Longer Shot (Hogarth) 3. Assists Per Game-Safe (Njie) Long (Winborne) Longer (Menard) 4. Steals Per Game-Safe (Barr) Long (Reaves) Longer (Njie) 5. 3Pt%-Safe (Jungers) Long (Reaves) Longer (Wallace) 6. Total 3Pt's- Safe (Reaves) Long (Winborne) Longer (Patterson) 7. FT%-Safe (Reaves) Long (Njie) Longer (Winborne) 8. FG%-Safe (Moundi) Long (Emuobor) Longer (Patterson) 9. Blocks Per Game-Safe (Moundi) Long (Hogarth) Longer (Patterson) 10.MPG-Safe (Reaves) Long (Patterson) Longer (Njie)
And, I'll close by listing the top five Gaels that I'm looking forward to seeing on the court: In no particular order-Njie, Menard, Wallace, Hogarth and Chan.
P.S. Hopefully, everyone will list their take even if it is only for a couple of categories.
1. No, but she is a Gael. Coach Al, posted that she's very good and has been coached by a friend of his. Also, when I was a kid, I was a big fan of Charlie Chan, who might be her great grandfather.

The greatest poster in the history of the MAAC as determined by THREE separate polls.
Guy, except for one selection I, more or less agree with your picks. And that pick is Reaves being in the top three in assists, even if I think I know why you included him, figuring that he'll have the ball in his hands more than anyone else. I disagree for three reasons: 1. At UNC he averaged 1+ assist per game. 2. Looking at his HL video. 3. And someone told me that when asked if he'd rather pass the ball or have root canal, he chose RC.
And, being in his last year of college BB, I think it probably won't change. Although, last year I did expect Brown to become a better free throw shooter, and we know how that turned out.

As described in the podcast, Reaves had two primary ballhandlers in the lineup with him, who combined for 9 assists per game. It just wasn't his role on that team. I think he'll be asked to do it more on this one, and will just pick up more assists because of that. I am not saying he's going to become Scott Machado overnight.
I don't know who that "someone" is who said that about him, but that's a really negative assessment. Unless it came from a UNC coach, I put zero stock in that viewpoint.

Guy, that was just an attempt at humor. Nobody told me that. But, we'll see how it turns out.

you never believe me and then you put up fake news lol
New ep of the podcast welcomes back Jaden Daly to share thoughts on former Elite Eight Peacock and new Gael Clarence Rupert as well as other Iona and MAAC matters!
Guy, due to the noise coming from construction outside my building, I might have mis-heard Jaden, but I thought I heard him say that he wouldn't be around as much this season. If he did say that, do you know the reason? And, thanks for the podcast.
As for Rupert, imo, we need his toughness more than his scoring, as I think we have guys capable of scoring.

Jaden's footprint is growing a bit--more Big East, etc. Pete Janny, who has been on the podcast and contributes to Daly Dose, is now the SID at Manhattan as well. So, definitely a reduction in MAAC coverage.
