Just re-read the review. And comparing the review to the opinion of posters is that most see us going with about a ten man rotation. And, that means three players won't be part of the rotation and that seems reasonable. But based upon what I saw at the Open Practice and what I've read about the team, all 13 players looked good enough to play. I realize that injuries are a way of life, but knowing that there is only 200 minutes to be divided up in a game. The natural tendency is to go with experience, but at the same time keep the frosh happy and encourage them to return.
Anyone have an opinion on this that they would like to share?

I honestly have no idea.

Guy, after listening to the latest podcast, I believe that the Top Five MAAC teams will be: Quinny, Iona, Marist, Merrimack and Manhattan. Although Quinny is the favorite, Guy brings us back to Rider from last season. Manhattan is my Dark Horse, non Iona favorite, but naturally that's JAG. We're only about a month away from exhibition games and I'm hopeful that Iona will have one.

And if MAAC history has shown us anything, there will be 1-2 teams we don't expect that will surge toward the top. I'll have all my MAAC picks next ep of the pod.

What is your early take on the Jaspers? Mid-pack, though I realize that can be said for about 6 teams LOL

So far, I have heard up to the Jim M. portion of the show. And, as for making picks I'm waiting until I've seen at least one game, whether it's a RS or exhibition game. Three things that stood out for me and I'll save greg the trouble on the first. 1. You said a couple of our OOC games could go either way. So, I'm assuming ties are out. 2. JMO, but I think that you have Manhattan (#8) picked too low as I have them in the Top Five. And, I don't count that as a pick. 3. Are you still thinking that we'll have an early signing?

What would you have picked after seeing our first game at Charleston last year? We all thought we'd be better than we ended up being based on that one game. Re your other points: 1. I don't even know how to respond to that. 2. I think teams 5-10 could all be a game or two from each other, so where those teams are is fairly trivial. 3. We got a commit, we're just waiting on his announcement. I suspect he would then sign in November, yes.

Guy as always listened to your podcast. Always great might change some of the background music--lol Anyway like your predictions for the season. Might be optimistic on my part but do see us at 25-6 regular season, however never a great forecaster. All contingent on game number one-Princeton. If we compete-which we will-this will set the pace. Princeton at Princeton a great way to test the team and our abilities! Then again I picked the Bengals to beat the Patriots and look what happened. Looking forward to seeing everyone Coach Al

Thanks Coach Al--the music is staying! LOL
As I said to I59, wouldn't put too much stock in the opener. We played very well at Charleston to open last season, and it turned out to be one of our best performances of the season. We're an impossible scout right now so I like our chances at Princeton, but then the opponents will adjust after we've played a couple.
