Went on instagram. Looks like the team's practices are very intense and they are working hard.
Joiner: video of him in tub icing down Cashaw: stitches over one eye with the caption " Nelly Vibes". I guess NJJ said not in my house!! Myers: "can't believe how sore I am"..lol
I think the scrimmage will appear more like a real game rather than the team working out against each other. For those attending, enjoy the sneak preview. Looking forward to your reports on the scrimmage

Great stuff! I assume gaelsiona to be a younger poster with important insight. Last Nelly I remember was a bratty younger cousin.

After attending Sunday's scrimmage, and like everyone else, I came away very impressed. But after watching the video a couple of times I do have a BIG (pun intended) concern. And that is the depth at the center position. If we get Shema back we'll be fine in all of our games. If we get Brown back (and not OS) we'll be fine in the MAAC. But, right now NJJ is being backed up by two inexperienced , though talented players. And that concerns me. I understand that the season is three months away, and am wondering if anyone has heard any injury news about the two injured players?

I'm trying to be objective. Looking at the lineup, post Greece, for me it looks like this: C-NJJ PF-DVE (he looks stronger than QS and is second to NJJ as a rebounder) SF-BJL PG-Joiner SG-Jolly (while neither of our new guards have shown that they should start, I feel certain that RP will bring them along) The Bench: Ryan Myers-As a frosh he looks as good a shooter as Isaiah Ross did as a senior. Jolly better be ready to hold on to the starting SG position, because RM is ready. QS-Has shown that he can play SF and PF. IMO, he's ready for the start of the season. Being objective, the above seven are a given, assuming that RP can bring the backcourt up to speed. Before the PS started, I thought that OS would be making huge strides this year, so while I haven't seen him play, I still have expectations that he will. Colton Cashaw looks like he's on board to step in for EJ at the PG position. And that gives us a nine man rotation. With Parker Weiss in contention for the 10th man. However: Walter Clayton, Joshua Duach and Jordan Wildy have ALL shown enough to say that I think they could start by the time they are sophomores, and one, probably Clayton, getting minutes this year. Being objective, I'm saying that the jury is still out on Trey James and Robert Brown, But with Brown it's a medical question mark.
I'll close by warning about injuries. They are a big part of the game. We went to Greece with two injured players left behind and will probably return with two more. Hopefully, all will be ready to go within a few weeks.
