To think that Shema was projected as the starting center, considering the job that NJJ is doing and knowing Trey James is in our future, our front court is looking very solid going forward. Will be nice having Shema available to spell and share the duties with NJJ for the remainder of this season anyway.
Just noticed this thread. Agree with Guy, don't believe We will see Shema start for a bit, if at all this season. This injury has obviously set him back. More likely to see 15-20 mpg and hopefully a few more minutes added towards the end of the season and MAAC tournament. Watched lots of full game video of his from his JUCO season and offensively he really didn't spend too much time in the paint, so I could see stretches at times with both Shema and NJJ in the court together.
Like Brandon Goble mentioned on Guy's podcast he has NBA potential and also confirmed by Pitino. I have asked some JUCO recruiting guys about him as well. The 2 key words always mentioned were "if" and "upside". All agreed IF he stays healthy and puts in the work on the court as well as the weight room, in a couple years NBA scouts will be flooding the HAC. time will tell, but I can't wait to see him play and develop the next 2 years. Somebody mentioned Shema and NJJ being joined by Trey James next season. Two points. Let's not forget since this is a "free" season entering next season NJJ will still have 4 years of eligibility remaining and Shema with 3. Also don't forget 6'9" Jordan Wildy. Despite James being a ESPN 4 star recruit, I have been told Wildy, in time, could be the jewel of the '21 class as of now. I say as of now because I honestly believe you will likely see a couple more scholarships open up but that's a topic for down the road. Exciting times as Shema, NJJ, James and Wildy can possibly supply frontcourt play together for a few years that we have never seen before.
Sorry for the book but on a personal note I won't be posting very much at all for a bit as some health issues have reared there ugly head again. I will be reading all day everyday as well as waiting for Guys podcasts as both really help me get thru this. Exciting times ahead. Let's go Gael Nation

sharkey, one more question. I've read that some posters indicate that NJJ has pro potential, and they worry that he'll leave college early. My take is that he's too short to play center in the NBA, and if he's to have an NBA career, it would have to be at the PF position. Shema, who is four inches taller and more athletic does have a possible NBA career. JMO.
