On this morning's Sports Center there was a nice story about the Holy Cross-Army Women's BB game. Army is coached by former Iona Men's Assistant coach, and former Marist HC, Dave Magarity. HC is coached by Dave's daughter, Maureen. And I believe it was the first time a father coached against his daughter in a D1 game. HC won the game and was led in scoring (23 points) by Avery LaBarbera (Sp?). And there's a clip of Avery making a steal and a basket.
And Avery is the granddaughter of Pat Vaccaro and the great granddaughter of OT's good friend, the late Noffi Vaccaro.
