I was told, yesterday, by a friend, so that this is third hand info (at best), that Iona did not buy the land but only the buildings at Concordia. Does this make any sense? And, if so, does it make any difference? Maybe, Super can help me understand this issue, or anyone else.

Yes, absolutely. The plan is to ultimately move the buildings to New Rochelle.

Suggest everyone read 1983's post on the MAAC Board. It explains where much of the money for the purchase of Concordia came from. I was kind of surprised that classes won't start until the Fall semester, 2022, as I thought that they'd be starting this September.

NYP is donating $20MM, and will add in curriculum, instruction, training, and hiring graduates. Additional programs will be added. Also involves affiliation with Columbia Medical School. Huge win for Iona.
