Bold move which will permit significant expansion of the health sciences degree programs.

If it had happened in the 1940's, I could have walked to school and saved a LOT of bus money.

I didn’t even consider this angle. Makes sense.

I didn’t even consider this angle. Makes sense. Agreed. I also didn't think of that angle. My Brother went to Concordia, years ago. They have a baseball field and soccer field on campus. A decent gym where their basketball teams played. Hopefully upgraded a bit over the years. If I remember correctly they had a decent sized building that was just for sports right next to the baseball field. Could be a big boost to athletic department

May facilitate the creation of a dedicated varsity training center, even on the main campus, by moving some intramurals, etc to Concordia.
I guess we just terminate Concordia’s existing teams. We’re they D2 or D3? Big upheaval for those kids.

My brother was on a full baseball scholarship so must have been D2 at the time. think they also played NAIA? Might want to keep their baseball team. My Brother's team had 3 kids make it to the Majors..lol

Concordia also has 3 outdoor and 3 indoor tennis courts.
This move is all about acquiring space.

JAG, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of our coaching staff have their offices and sports moved to the Bronxville campus. Baseball and soccer come to mind, since there is an on campus baseball field, and a soccer field as well. Just not sure about stands/bleachers for fans.

Cjb, thanks. Great job. And before greg asks me, the answer is yes. Yes, when I was in grammar school, ICS (also, Guy's alma mater, we did have Saturday morning football practice at what is now Concordia's soccer field.

Interesting decision. Pass on CNR and move on this one. I wonder if this has been on teh table for a while. In 2016 CNBC rated Bronxville as the most expensive suburb of any US city. 1 Acre in Bronxville is equal to how many in New Rochelle? If Iona plays Concordia(D2), will it count on the schedule?
