We definitely have the experience now to go with talented newcomers. These two new transfer guards look very strong (bodywise), team is being built to win now and keep it going after that.

Tyson Jolly - 6'4" SG - Transfer from SMU. His hometown is Muskogee, Oklahoma. A 4★ recruit who was ranked No. 1 in Oklahoma and No. 88 nationally in 2016 recruiting class by 247Sports.com. Missed end of 2013-14 junior season of high school t after being diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and seven blood clots in lungs Originally signed NLI with California, but was released after a coaching change and spent 2015-16 season at Elev8 Sports Institute(Fla).
Redshirted his freshman year at Baylor and only saw 8 minutes a game as a sophomore. Transferred to Trinity Valley Community College where he averaged 22.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game while shooting 50.6% from the field and 35.1% from the three.
In his Junior season at SMU he averaged 14.5 points per game to lead SMU, grabbed 6.2 rebounds. This season he was a preseason All-AAC selection but missed most of the season due to personal issues.
He is very energetic on both sides of the ball and is a good athlete with really great body control when getting to the rim.
Offers: OSU, California, Baylor, Creighton, TCU, UTEP and Gonzaga. Had interest from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Marquette, Missouri, Utah State, and Stanford.

This roster is crazy. Iona will be starting 2 SR HM guards. These guys didn't drop down to the MAAC because of lack of success or PT at a higher level, they are at Iona to be coached by Pitino. They can both start at HM programs.
James was committed to a HM program. NJJ could go HM. Christian Wright doesn't get injured he's at a HM program.
