On March 31st, the Office of Alumni Relations sent out an e-mail, which included a seven minute, nineteen second video of an interview with Iona's president. Most of the time was spent talking about the acquisition of Concordia College. But, at about the six minute mark President Carey said that in the near future the College would be introducing a green addition to its New Rochelle campus. I assumed he meant an area of grass and trees, something that is in short supply on the campus. Other than converting it's softball field, since we now have one at Concordia, I have no idea what he means. Does anyone know?

Conjecture, but many office and NYC buildings are building green spaces on their roofs. Gardens and such on top of the building.

thehat, thanks. It does make sense considering our lack of space. But I hope not, since I'm afraid of heights.

86 and 83, thanks. Just saw the news on the official Iona site. It looks great and it is being sponsored by Joe Murphy in honor of his late wife, Joanne.

How is the Murphy Green progressing? I would love to see it completed by the time recruits/transfers have campus visits.

Murphy Green must be coming along nicely as the College is already scheduling events there later this Spring. Looks beautiful. I am very happy that Iona is honoring Mrs. Murphy in such a beautiful way. The Murphy's have been so support of Iona College over the years.

Kevin, I was driving by Iona, yesterday, heading away from downtown New Ro. In the vicinity and on the same side of North Ave. as Bumphers (spelling), and I noticed that there is a new structure, about six-ten stories, going up. Does it have anything to do with Iona? Anyone know?
