Peter Gibson, one of the all time "Great Gaels" turned 91, yesterday. When I told him about the trip to Greece, he said that it was a great birthday present. He's now trying to figure out how he'll be able to get to Iona for an August practice session. Back in the day he used to commute to Iona with Richie Guerin. A great fan, and a great guy.

That's a interesting question. I really enjoyed your reports from Iona practices. I wonder if Pitino will allow fans into an occasional practice.

The release on the official Iona site said that some of the August practice sessions would be open to Goal Club and Season Ticket holders, with more info to follow.
