Don't know if anybody is watching the golf event today, but interesting concept and much more Golf than PGA events. PGA Tour events have too many commercials and the scoreboard and display are all outdated. The Youtube live stream of LIV was pretty easy to follow and more enjoyable.
Also, love the rating system on each player. Gives you strengths and weaknesses, etc.

gaellife, my golf days are long over, though I'll watch/follow the Majors. At this time of year I'm waiting on NFL TC's to open. Also, the possibility to be able to watch Iona BB practices, or at least read about them. For you younger guys, I can understand the interest in LIV golf.

I try to play as much as possible while I still can.

I have not watched the LIV yet, but I expect that I will. I'm no big fan of the Saudis, but I cannot blame the players to take advantage of the money they are throwing around. I am interested in seeing what type of lawsuits will be filed against the PGA. I'm guessing that there will be some anti-trust action based upon the penalties the PGA is imposing on players who play in the LIV.
I don't care about the politics of the sport, I just love the game. I am going on the golf trip of my life in the last week of July when I will play Poppy Hills, The Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill, and Pebble Beach from July 26 - 29. I cannot wait!

DJ got a $115 Million guaranteed to just appear. That doesn't include prize money which we all know he will win a lot of. With regards to that trip, great courses. Have fun on Signal Hill (8th Hole on Spyglass) and 14 on Pebble Beach. Never played Poppy hills, but heard great things. If it is your first time there, make sure to go to Pacific's Edge restaurant or Schooners Monterey. Great views of the ocean.

Returned from a similar trip in May. Courses were spectacular.Pebble Beach ate me alive; did ok at Spanish Bay; had a really good round at Spyglass, reputedly the most difficult. Unbelievable experience. Enjoy it! Good recommendations above for dinner; try Katy’s Place in Carmel for breakfast.

gaellife82 and Super, thanks for the recommendations! I know we are staying at the Intercontinental in Monterey for 3 nights and The Inn at Spanish Bay for 2 nights. I will make these suggestions to the guys I'm going with.
I used to be halfway decent years ago when I was a nine handicap. Now, I just try to get around without hurting myself or anyone else! I can hardly hit it out of my shadow. I'm guessing 8 at Spyglass and 14 at Pebble will not be the only holes that humble me. Nevertheless, I love this great game.
