The Major League Rugby Championship game between Rugby New York and the Seattle Seawolves will take place today Saturday, June 25th at 12pm at Red Bulls Stadium. It will be shown on Fox.

Former Iona players Connor Buckley and John Powers play for NY. This league has plenty of national and ex national team members from Rugby power countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Tonga, South Africa etc playing so it has a lot of quality.

Scrum Back Andy Ellis played an amazing game in his lat professional match. He had a hell of a career as the New Zealander who won a Rugby World Cup Championship with the All Blacks as well as playing for Canterbury and Crusaders in New Zealand and Kobelco Kobe Steelers in Japan. He had 28 caps for the All Blacks and also played 6 games for the Barbarian F.C. which is an invitational squad and sort of a world all star team. A great player and the kind of leader you want teaching the younger players.
