Very bad loss. This one is on Pitino and his staff. Agree. Horrible sub patterns in the 2nd half and several players that were left in way too long. Slaz is working back but offensively and defensively he hurt us. |

Worst team in the MAAC. We will be lucky if we can win 8 league games. Coach is worthless.

We gave this game away. We need to be supportive of these young men, but man, let’s please stop with the DJ to NBA nonsense or DJ transferring to a high major. Let’s win the next two! You problem ain’t only DJ you say we must be supportive yet you bash the kid. The other team was every bit as good if they played 10 times each team would win 5. |

Pitino was outcoached in the second half. Failed to adjust. Should have signed out Slazinski for Shema far earlier that he did, among other things. Not sure what Pitino was thinking.
We will have some bad games. This clearly was one of them. Hope there aren’t many more:

It wasn't the substitutions that lost the game. It happened when our player started getting selfish (up by 10) and began playing one on one.

I love him and I am not bashing him at all. He had a bad game down the stretch and is being held on a different level with people using words like NBA, high major, etc. I am just saying let’s temper this talk. |

pretty please!!!! Pitino coaching a horrible game. Where is Shema! His stubbornness is going to cost us in this game which is going to kill our power ratings!! Spot-on, Joebird. The distribution of minutes was mind-boggling. Shema and Davis gave added value per minute. Would like to see Ayo get a chance to get over the jitters before getting yanked. |

Think this was just an all around team loss. On the coaches and the players. No reason to be only up 10 when the other team has 20 turnovers.

Weiss played the first 14 minutes of the second half and Jenkins was not on the court when things started to unravel!
Why minimal Shema? Why not more Davis? and why not get Ayo involved earlier in the game?
Baffling!

Also appeared to me SMU had better athletes. The Gaels probably will not see a backcourt like Nutall & Phelps the rest of the year.

Pitino sucked today. Not much else to it. The Quinn leash was way too long and giving Ayo a run late made no sense. Kid has played 5 college minutes. Has to be a better option there.
