“Being processed”? How the eff long does it take to count 11 votes? Remember Ensor is counting the votes.

I think a lot of people are veering off into the “leadership” of the MAAC lane. Forget about the venue for a minute. Why are the member schools not voting for a format change to give the top seeds the advantage of one home game? It’s certainly not the $ gate at these awful places. They think their schools are unlikely to capture a top seed most years (yes, because of Iona). They’re voting wisely - out of their self-interest. The exiting Commissioner may be weak but I don’t see how that is on him.
As for the venue, UBS out at Belmont would have been nice. That’s a top-flight arena. Not surprised that the MAAC winds up in somewhere stupid B site like Albany or AC, etc.

Because there's no incentive to. Why? Because the MAAC takes the biggest paycheck regardless of it does nothing to build the conference. Each team gets to share that money and each team gets to share the NCAA tournament money. This isn't every team, but it's the majority.

And with the extra money from multiple SPU NCAA wins, those lazy programs have even less incentive

I would think most conferences don't do this, but I have no clue.

It's not required, but the NCAA encourages all conferences to share tournament revenue amongst its members.

When the presidents vote and Albany is in play, does the Siena president have to recuse him or her self, because of a conflict of interest?

As a Lame Duck, he probably shouldn't have been, imo. In fact I believe I read on this Board that he shouldn't have been.

Ensor wasn’t involved in the RFP process? WTF was he doing? I hope he was sitting on his hands and staying out of everyone's way. Retired on the job.
