Iona's annual award dinner dance will take place in NYC on April 21st. One of the two Legacy honorees is Daniel Doyle '93. Does anyone know if that is the same Danny Doyle who played for the Gaels?

Also honoring V Foundation. Pam Valvano-Strasser will attend.
Worked hard to get Vitale to attend. His annual gala is 2 weeks later so he had to decline. Understandable given how driven he is about his event which raised $11 million last year.

Kevin, thanks. As President and CEO I agree that he's having great career success. I remember his father who was rather obnoxious as a fan. His father's claim to fame was that he played BB with Al McGuire at Belmont Abbey. Love hearing about former BB players like Tom Burke and Kashief Hameed who were great successes after BB. Too lazy to list Bob McGuire, John McIvor,Stan Hill and so many others.

Too lazy to list Bob McGuire, John McIvor,Stan Hill and so many others. Iona has definitely had a good number of alums who have gone on to "Move The World." With John McIvor passing a few weeks ago, Heaven received another great Gael. I often think of Kevin Bass, a great basketball leader, but an even greater person. May they all rest in peace. |
