Not seeing many predictions or analysis on the game, I think it’s because it has the I have no idea what’s going to happen feel. We all realize we have only about a 20% chance to win, but we all know we could win. We also could lose by 20+ points. It’s probably most likely that Pitino keeps us in it, but at the end we lose by around the 10 point spread.My hope is we stay close until the 4 minute market, and then our press gets a couple of big turnovers and our guards make a couple of big shots and we pull out the upset and our first NCAA win in 43 years!

Agreed, we can stay competitive in this game and then if we get to the final media timeout within 1-2 possessions, anything can happen. We have the better coach, arguably better guard play and an inferior front court and bench. Not expecting to win this one, but we can definitely hang. |

A lot of complaints about tickets yesterday but it seems many of the season ticket holders who requested tickets, including myself, got a chance to get tickets today. I’m now going. How about others? Are there season ticket holders out there who wanted tickets and didn’t get them? From my perspective Tom and the staff did a good job in a very tough situation! I’m thinking maybe they got tickets from the other Gaels who are unlikely to bring many fans. My brother and I hold of 6 season tickets and no luck so far in getting tickets. Tom responded to my brother that there are limited tickets. He didn't respond to my emails. Very frustrating after having been to 21 games this year including all home games, many road and neutral games and the AC finals. |

Seeing reports that parking around the arena will be bad, they're actually telling people to park at UAlbany and ride shuttle to arena.
Personally, I'd just uber from whatever hotel you're staying.

Sorry to hear, but they only got 400 tickets, and likely many of those went to Pitino contacts and players families. My family has had season tickets for almost 50 years, and I’ve had them for over 30 of those years, and I didn’t get them until today. It seems like they got some extra today somehow, maybe a couple more will become available tomorrow. Good luck, I know these guys are having to work their butts off this week. The real crime here is the NCAA only giving each school 400 tickets, that is simply ridiculous. If they win Friday it should be fairly easy to get tickets for Sunday. Hopefully that will be the case and everyone who wants to can come on Sunday. |

Alabama was ranked 10th in the country. UCONN is also ranked 10th currently.
BAMA was favored by 12 points. UCONN Is favored by 9.5 points

Won't be surprised if Iona wins, won't be surprised if UConn wins. If we handle the Huskies, I like our chances at advancing to the Sweet Sixteen. Not to belittle VCU or Saint Mary's, but UConn is definitely the toughest foe of those three teams heading into the weekend. If Iona were to make it to next week, RP's career record (at three different programs) in Sweet Sixteen games is 11-1. (Update: I forgot about 2015, RP is actually 12-1 in Sweet Sixteen games.) Wish we would've received Louisiana's draw. I think the Gaels could've marched to and through the Elite Eight to the Final Four in that region. No use crying over spilled milk, though. Might as well treat this one as another "two-game" weekend tournament. Iona's conference won its first three games last year, hope to see history repeat itself or even improve itself this year.
