I usually follow the betting line on the ESPN site, in order to see which way it's moving. But this week it has stayed at Iona +9 all week. And, I'm wondering if that's because everyone is filling out Brackets rather than betting on individual games. Anyone have an opinion? Yes. |

New York Post a very nice job today with their previews of todays game. Hardly any mention of Pitino going to St. John’s, mostly discusses the game, the way it should be!

Go Gaels. My son went to U Conn. He hates this first round matchup. They are really good but sometimes have laspes. Their center is super quick can’t shoot a jump shot. Jackson is also super quick but can’t shoot. Hawkins is a sniper. Will be drafted in the first round. Sometimes it seems they shoot threes and just go for rebounds. Saw every Iona and UConn games this year. Watched practically no other college BB. Thought this was a terrible match for us but they think the same. They think we have a chance. Go Gaels

It's game day. I wish I could be in Albany but I have a motion to argue today in Fairfax. I am certain that I will be home and in front of the TV by game time.
Just stay in the now, Iona.

My daughter and I are coming to Albany to watch the Gaels, we start our 18-hour drive tonight. Is there going to be someplace where the Gael fans will hang out before the games? Please let me know and I hope to see many of you there. I have been on this board for many years as MN Gael Fanatic, but I rarely post. Guy makes a great point. We brought Pitino here to win big time games like this. Just keep it close and that’s when the coaching advantage should come into play. Let’s go Gaels!!!

Dear God,
We come to you today asking for your divine guidance and blessings for this basketball team as they prepare to compete on the court. We pray that they will play their best and give it their all.
Please help them to remain focused and disciplined, to work together as a team and to stay determined and motivated, even in the face of adversity.
