We have a ton of minutes to offer with a hot coach. Not worried at all My only concern is the NIL. With all these stories coming out about millionaires/billionaires getting involved with college (and HS) players; what are they now competing against? |

For the NIL...we need to attract a nutty multimillionaire who in turn can attract other multimillionaires and billionaires to adopt the school as a way to say F.U. to the man.
We contact Conor McGregor, establish an MMA program at Iona, bestow an honorary doctorate degree in Combat Arts and then announce that Killian's costume will be retired and a custom that looks like Conor, tats and all, will be the new Killian. We then have him stir up interest with billionaire buddies Dana White, his rapper pals and the Collison brothers, Irish billionaire tech founders of Stripe.
I just want to hear Guy's interview of McGregor for the podcast.

So when are we signing a player? Asking for a friend. First the majors eat, then us, hopefully we get a few steals that fall back downto us Wanted to expand on this, because it's important. Yes, the big guys will get their pick of the best in the portal first. This will not only leave us what's left (which, when you consider there's more than 1200 players in the portal, is a decent amount for sure) but it will also prompt NEW portal entries from the bigs who are forcing non-stars out. Some schools, like St Johns, already forced out their guys, but a lot of schools will be doing it as time goes on. For every Noah Thomasson that Big State U picks up, they'll force to the portal a player who has the ability to kill it in the MAAC even if his numbers weren't there at Big State U. Couple this with my earlier comment about how JUCO guys are going to be more and more neglected, and you'll see the talent pool we have to choose from is a healthy one. And re NIL we are not competing with Big State U for players, we're competing with other mids. So, patience, it's VERY early in the offseason and Anderson's been on the job for about 20 minutes. Let's go shopping! |

I watched him play a number of games for WSU this past season. He would be a fantastic recruit for Anderson!

I watched him play a number of games for WSU this past season. He would be a fantastic recruit for Anderson! Tobin and the staff are on a lot of really good players at this point. Many opt the kids are kids from Jersey and the city. The staff is working its tails off. |

Might go that way, or does he want to play the rest of his career where friends and family can see him play. If I was in hi position I would go for the family and friends unless I was getting$200K which I doubt they are willing to pay him. |

He is now claiming the spread on the NIL offers $200K vs $400k. That does not sound realistic to me. |
